History
Jefferson school was Plain, No.1. The village of Jefferson was originally named Plain. Jefferson school was built in 1900. The school building was built of red brick. The building stood until 1965 when it was torn down. The building was used as a community center after the school closed due to consolidation in 1949. The old location of the school is a parking lot.
